Families
Has your student fallen behind in math and reading? Indiana Learns provides a unique way for students in grades 3-8 to catch up and strengthen their confidence in the classroom.
Student Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the Indiana Learns program, a student must meet ALL of the below criteria:
- Student completed ILEARN testing and scored below proficiency in either Mathematics or English/Language Arts
- NOTE: approaching proficiency will not qualify
- Student resides in Indiana
- Student is enrolled and is attending an Indiana public, charter, or accredited non-public school as a 3rd-8th grade student (2024-2025 school year)
- Student qualifies for the federal free or reduced lunch program
To check eligibility online, you will need a child’s student test number, or STN. This number should appear on ILEARN reports provided by a school or on other school records. If you need help finding your student’s STN, contact your school.
Use funds with approved providers
If a student meets the program qualifications, their family can register and access their Indiana Learns grant from an online platform. Qualifying families can search for Learning Partners and see the status of their grant funds on the platform.
If your student qualifies for Indiana Learns, you:
- Will be able to access $1,000 to spend on high-dosage tutoring
- Will select an approved tutoring provider that works for your child’s needs and schedule
- Will manage your student’s grant when it’s convenient for you using Indiana Learns’ online portal
